Collecting your student ID card

You can collect your student ID card from the student office from 1 March (winter intake) or from 1 October (summer intake). Remember to bring a valid photo ID document with you.

Extending the ID card for graduates:

  • Details on extending the student ID card are available in the Student office tab in Extranet.
  • If you completed first‑cycle studies at WSB Merito University in Toruń in June/July and you already have a student ID card, you can extend it at the student office and avoid the cost of issuing a new card. Graduates keep their student record number and the individual bank account number from their first‑cycle studies – all payments should be made to this account.

mLegitymacja – electronic student ID card:

  • The electronic version of the student ID card can be obtained in the mObywatel application.
  • The activation instructions are available in Extranet under My profile → mLegitymacja (you must already have a plastic student ID card).

Replace your traditional ID card with the electronic version and keep it always at hand!

Class meeting schedule

You will find the full list of dates for the entire year when class meetings take place in Extranet in the Class meeting schedule tab.

Timetable

The detailed timetable will be available at the earliest one week before classes start in Extranet in the Timetable → My timetable tab.

  • Full‑time students: classes start at the beginning of October.
  • Part‑time students: classes start in mid‑October.

If the timetable is not visible a few days before the start of classes, contact the student office.

Group allocation

Your group assignment can be found in the class schedule. In exceptional cases, you can change groups – to do this, contact the student office, preferably by e‑mail.

Information on health and accident insurance (NNW)

You can find details about health insurance:

  • In the Extranet: tab “Dean’s Office -> Health Insurance”.
  • You can also choose accident insurance (NNW). Information on this can be found in the Extranet in the tab: “Dean’s Office -> NNW Insurance”.

Would you like to be insured through the university?

Complete the document (a template is available in the Extranet) and submit it to the Dean’s Office. There you will also receive additional information about the insurance. You can also send the document directly to the HR and Payroll Department (as a scan) to the following email address: [email protected].

Information for international students

Health insurance is mandatory throughout your stay in Poland and is required when:

  • entering the country;
  • applying for a temporary residence permit.

If you are not an EU/EFTA citizen:

You must take out insurance yourself with the NFZ (National Health Fund) or another institution. To do so:

  • Obtain a confirmation of student status from the Dean’s Office.
  • Submit your application at the Bydgoszcz branch of the National Health Fund:

Address: ul. Łomżyńska 33, 85-863 Bydgoszcz.

Tel.: 800 190 590

Note

Lack of insurance may result in the withdrawal of your residence permit and the necessity to leave Poland.

Insurance from institutions other than the NFZ must cover hospitalisation. In such cases, you pay for treatment yourself, and the insurer reimburses your expenses (with NFZ, settlements are cashless).

Remember

Keep your insurance valid to avoid problems with legal residence in Poland.

The certificate is available after the start of classes – within 3 working days from the moment you submit your request (a template of the document can be found in Extranet).

You can collect the certificate in person from the student office or download an e‑certificate from Extranet in the tab: My profile → E‑certificates.

First payment

  • Each student has an individual bank account number for tuition fee payments. The bank account number, payment dates and tuition amounts can be found in Extranet under: My profile → Payments and transfers.
  • Pay the first instalment and the fee for the student ID card by 30 September (this deadline changes only for students admitted after 15 September). Make two transfers: the first tuition instalment to the “tuition” account, and 22 PLN for the ID card to the “other” account.

VAT invoice

A template of the VAT invoice request form is available in Extranet. You can also ask for the template by contacting the Student Financial Services Department.
