Support for students with disabilities
We want our university to be friendly and welcoming to everyone. That is why the Office for Persons with Disabilities operates at the university. This is where students who need support in solving study-related problems can turn.
The office staff monitor changes in legislation regarding persons with disabilities and organise training on this subject for university employees.
How we provide support?
- Preparation of an individual study plan and adjustments to the conditions of class attendance and course completion.
- Possibility to obtain financial support: a scholarship for students with disabilities.
- Purchase of services enabling full participation in classes.
- Possibility of using additional devices owned by the university or personal devices, e.g. a magnifier or voice recorder.
- Allocation of teaching assistants.
- Cooperation with institutions working for the benefit of people with disabilities.
Friendly campus
Our buildings are adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.
- On campus there are Braille signs, as well as accessible toilets and a lift.
- You can use specialist equipment such as laptops, tablets, voice recorders, e‑book readers, notebooks and an electronic magnifier.
- In the library and reading room you will find computer workstations for people with disabilities.
