The student voice matters
The student council represents students’ needs and expectations to the university authorities. Its representatives take part in meetings of the WSB Merito Senate as well as the Disciplinary, Appeals, and Scholarship Committees.
Real impact on university life
The student council organises interesting competitions and events (for example, the Student’s Ball and the MeriChristmas Party) and also cooperates with other universities to hold large integration events.
Working in the student council is an excellent opportunity for development. You will gain many practical skills in management, organisation, and teamwork. You will also develop your creativity and entrepreneurial mindset.

I am a fourth‑year part‑time student and I work full time. As Chair of the Student Council, I combine my studies with active involvement in university life. Working on the council develops my leadership and project management skills and allows me to carry out initiatives such as the Student’s Ball, the MeriChristmas Party, and training on Students’ Rights. Thanks to this role, I gain valuable experience, make friends, and build inspiring relationships for life.
