How to become a WSB Merito University student
You can enroll in a first degree (e.g. Bachelor’s or Engineer’s) program if you have successfully completed your secondary education and have a secondary school-leaving certificate.
To be eligible for a second degree (Master’s) program, you must have completed a prior higher education program concluded with the award of a first degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent).

Applicants are admitted on a first-come first-served basis. If you are to complete your secondary education this year, or you are studying for your first degree but have not yet earned it, you can secure a place with us by signing up online. Your educational service contract can be drawn up later as you have collected all of the required documents.

Remember that you can get a visa only if you are a full-time student.

Create an Applicant's Account where you will find all the necessary directions on successfully completing the recruitment process for your chosen field of study.
If you are one of our students and/or alumni, you can skip the process of setting up the account and use your MeritoGo login and password. Some of the form fields will be completed automatically with previously provided data from the system.
Complete the admission process
After creating your account and completing the recruitment form, you have 7 days to complete, submit, and sign the required documents. With your Applicant's Account, you can do all of this online - without leaving your home.
Make the payment
After we verify that all required documents have been submitted, we will inform you about your admission status. If any documents are missing, you will be notified immediately.
Both admission and enrollment fees can be paid online through your candidate account under the PAY section or via traditional bank transfer (you can request the bank details with international transfers information).
Congratulations! You are a WSB Merito University student!
According to your agreement few days before the 1st day of classes you will be able to sign Student Pledge and you will be moved to the student system.

some certificates and diplomas will need to obtain written information from the Director of the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). You will find a place to upload this document in your applicant account. The NAWA Director’s statement is not required for certificates and diplomas issued by institutions in EU, EFTA or OECD member states, nor for any certificates covered by international mutual‐recognition agreements (e.g. with China or Ukraine) or for IB and EB diplomas – these documents are automatically recognized for admission to a Polish university.

What’s next?
After uploading all required documents to your account, please wait for confirmation. If your documents are verified and approved, you are to submit the original documents/hard copies to the Admission Office. Only after submitting original documents to the Admission Office you will be able to sign the agreement with the university electronically.
Please remember that only after submitting the complete set of documents and signing the agreement by both parties, the admission decision/Rector’s decision will be issued (Important: you should check your email box and agree on the Rector’s decision on your acceptance- press “agree” in the sent mail). Only after your agreement on the acceptance the Admissions Office will prepare the acceptance letter that can be used to apply for a student visa.

6a. Entrance Exam – Knowledge Verification
Who it applies to:
The entrance exam is conducted only for foreign candidates applying for first-cycle Bachelor’s or long-cycle Master’s degree programs who submit educational documents other than the following:
- certificates and other documents issued by a school or educational institution operating within the education system of a European Union (EU) member state, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) member state, or a European Free Trade Association (EFTA) member state – party to the agreement on the European Economic Area – which entitle the holder to apply for admission to bachelor’s or long-cycle master’s programs in those countries;
- International Baccalaureate (IB) diplomas issued by the International Baccalaureate Organization in Geneva;
- European Baccalaureate (EB) diplomas issued by European Schools in accordance with the Convention defining the Statute of the European Schools, signed in Luxembourg on June 21, 1994 (Journal of Laws of 2005, item 10);
- Certificates and other documents issued abroad by schools or educational institutions recognized by the country in which they operate or whose education system they are part of, and covered by international agreements.
Candidates may take the entrance exam only if they meet the language proficiency requirements for the language in which the studies are conducted.
Entrance Exam Details
The entrance exam is intended to assess the knowledge necessary to undertake studies in a specific field, at a given level and profile.
It is conducted in written form and in the language of instruction of the chosen study program.
The exam is conducted via online platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams, as well as using Microsoft Forms or the Moodle platform, at a scheduled time during the university admission process.
The exam consists of two parts:
- 10 single-choice multiple-choice questions, with 1 point awarded for each correct answer.
- 5 open-ended questions, each evaluated on a scale from 0 to 2 points.
The maximum total score possible on the exam is 20 points (sum of test questions – up to 10 points + sum of open-ended questions – up to 10 points).
The exam results are used to calculate the Wd indicator (admission score) according to the following conversion scale. A passing score is at least 11 points, which corresponds to a Wd indicator of 128 qualification points.

Procedure for Conducting the Entrance Exam:
- Candidates required to take the entrance exam under the 2025/2026 admission rules will receive, at the email address provided during registration, a notification of the exam date and time along with a link to the exam platform. This information will be sent no later than 3 days before the scheduled exam.
- During the exam, candidates must adhere to academic integrity. Any attempt to cheat—especially using unauthorized external materials or assistance from third parties—will result in nullification of the candidate’s exam results.
- To take the exam, candidates need a computer with Internet access, an up‑to‑date web browser (recommended: Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge), and a quiet workspace.
- Detailed technical instructions for participating in the remote exam will be provided along with the access link.

Student IDs will be issued at the dean’s office, no earlier than October 1. Please bring a photo ID to collect your card. If you submit your complete documents only at the end of the admissions period, we will need a bit more time to prepare your student ID—thank you for your understanding.

Yes, but only for some candidates
Required is the language certificate (see point 4). Language interview can be conducted only for candidates from EU instead of submitting the required certificate.
Usually you study one (English or German), but exceptions exist:
- BA in Tourism and Recreation: English + optional German or Spanish
- Philology: One main language + optional second language (varies by specialization)
Full‑time studies: language instruction is delivered in‑person as lektoraty (language lectures), except for English‑taught specializations in programs other than Philology.
Part‑time studies: language instruction is delivered online as a course on the Moodle platform.
Second‑cycle (Master’s) studies (both full‑time and part‑time):
You study one chosen language exclusively as an online course on Moodle. You may select English or German.
Health insurance or proof of coverage by an insurer for medical expenses is required not only when entering Poland and applying for a temporary residence permit but also throughout your entire stay in Poland.
If you do not have citizenship of an EU/EFTA member state or legal residence rights in a country other than Poland or an EU/EFTA member state (e.g., mandatory insurance for employed persons, the right to be registered as a family member of an insured person, etc.), you are not subject to compulsory health insurance in Poland or any other EU/EFTA country. In that case, you must voluntarily arrange insurance yourself, for example through the National Health Fund (NFZ). Remember to obtain a certificate of student status from the dean’s office beforehand.

At the recruitment stage, tuition payment is not required. The first instalments is due by September 30 according to the fee regulations and contract. If you have made the adaptation fee payment, you will have a transfer confirmation.
