Detailed instructions on how to obtain the mLegitymacja (mLegitymacja) can be found on the MeritoGO portal.

The meeting dates for first-year part-time students enrolled in the summer 2026/2027 academic year will be published on the website in mid-September.

Important information about insurance for international students!

Health insurance or confirmation that medical treatment costs are covered by the insurer is required not only for entry and when applying for a temporary residence permit, but also for the entire period of a foreigner’s stay in Poland.

If you do not have citizenship of an EU/EFTA Member State or the right of legal residence in an EU/EFTA Member State other than Poland, and you are not covered by compulsory health insurance in Poland or in another EU/EFTA Member State (e.g. compulsory insurance for an employed person, the right to be reported as a family member of an insured person, etc.), then you must take out voluntary insurance yourself, for example with the National Health Fund (NFZ). First, obtain a certificate of student status from the Dean’s Office.

Where to get insured (voluntary insurance for foreigners):

Insured Customer Service Centre of the Lower Silesian NFZ in Wrocław, ul. Dawida 2, room 121, phone: 71 7979 133 and 71 7979 131 (step-by-step instructions)

Remember!

Lack of insurance may result in the withdrawal of an issued temporary residence permit, which in consequence means that you must leave the country. Failure to leave Poland despite the withdrawal of the temporary residence permit may lead to an obligation to return combined with a ban on re-entry for at least 6 months.
If you take out insurance with other insurance institutions, make sure that the insurance conditions also cover hospitalisation. With such insurance, you must remember that you, as a student, have to cover the treatment costs yourself first, and then the insurer reimburses you, unlike an agreement directly with the NFZ, where settlement is cashless.

Detailed information about the first classes will be available at the end of September on the MeritoGO portal and website.
