We are pleased to inform you that the European Commission has positively reviewed the application submitted by the International Cooperation Center to grant our university the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) for the years 2021–2027. The Charter defines the general quality framework for the activities that the university may carry out under the Erasmus+ programme.

and entitles the university to apply for funds to implement projects in the field of educational mobility or projects focused on cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices:

  • Action 1: Educational mobility of students and university staff.
  • Action 2: Cooperation between organizations and institutions. Partnerships for cooperation and the exchange of practices.

The ECHE Charter for 2021–2027 sets out the current Erasmus+ policy, encouraging universities to be more active and to involve in international projects, in particular people with fewer opportunities.

Among the new principles are a commitment to digitalizing administrative processes related to mobility management, the automatic recognition of students’ achievements gained during exchanges abroad, and making the programme more environmentally friendly.

When applying for the ECHE charter, our university also presented its Erasmus policy, the so‑called Erasmus+ Policy Statement.

Erasmus in Murcia is definitely a perfect choice! A vibrant city full of interesting places, open and joyful people, the proximity of the sea and beautiful weather are just a small part of how Spain welcomes us. Not forgetting, however, that life is not only about fiesta, on weekdays we spend our time at UCAM, which, thanks to its high level of teaching, extensive technical facilities and simply beautiful location, turns an ordinary university into one of the best places to study in Spain.

My greatest passion is travelling, getting to know new cultures, and learning languages. That is why, when I was deciding on my field of study, I knew that I wanted to gain professional experience in different countries, and the Erasmus+ programme offers this opportunity through international internships. This stay allowed me to develop my interpersonal skills, because I spent all my time in an international environment, meeting people from all over the world.
