WSB Merito University in Wroclaw is an official member of the Research Federation of WSB-DSW Merito Universities, an alliance established to strategically manage and enhance the scientific and research potential of its constituent institutions.

This alliance represents a long-term, strategic partnership focused on fostering excellence in research, innovation, and academic development.

Governing and administrative institution

The Research Federation governs and administrates all the research activities and coordinates the advancement of research careers for more than 250 academic staff across six universities. By aligning resources, expertise, and strategic priorities, the alliance ensures a unified approach to scientific growth and strengthens the collective impact of its member institutions in national and international research arenas.

Officially established scientific organization

The Research Federation of WSB-DSW Merito Universities is an officially established scientific organization operating pursuant to the provisions of the Polish Act on Higher Education and Science. It functions as a legal entity defined by Act 2.0, which ensures its full legitimacy within the structure of the national higher education system.

Our mission

Our mission as WSB Merito Universities is to integrate academic potential of our members, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and promote excellence and innovation in science, contributing to the advancement and practical application of research outcomes.

Research Federation of WSB-DSW Merito Universities

Member universities

Founded as the Poznań School of Banking, WSB Merito University in Poznan has been in existence since 1994. The university is made up of three faculties: the Faculty of Finance and Banking in Poznan, the Faculty of Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Warsaw, the Branch Faculty in Chorzow, and the Faculty of Economics in Szczecin.

Founded in 1998 as the Gdańsk School of Banking. With its campuses based in Gdansk and Gdynia, the university is comprised of five faculties: Faculty of Business, Faculty of Law and Administration, Faculty of Information Technology and New Technologies, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the Faculty of Health.

 

WSB Merito University in Gdansk

The university, active since 1998, is made up of three faculties, including the Faculty of Finance and Management in Torun, the Faculty of Finance and Management in Bydgoszcz, and the Faculty of Applied Studies in Lodz.

 

WSB Merito University in Torun

Established in 1998, the university consists of two faculties: the Faculty of Finance and Management in Wroclaw, and the Faculty of Economics in Opole.

 

WSB Merito University in Wroclaw

In existence since 1997. It is comprised of the Faculty of Applied Studies, as well as five colleges—including the College of Administrative, Security and Technical Studies; College of Social Communication and Media Studies; College of Pedagogical Studies; College of Psychological Studies; College of Health Sciences—and the Research Group for Remote Education.

 

DSW University of Lower Silesia

A non-public university in Warsaw, Poland, founded in 1997 by professors from the Polish Academy of Sciences. It offers undergraduate and graduate programs in social sciences, international relations, and journalism, emphasizing practical skills through internships.

The structure of the Research Federation

The federation of six universities

The structure outlines the composition of the Research Federation WSB-DSW Merito, established under Act 2.0 – Law on Higher Education and Science of July 20, 2018. The federation unites six institutions: WSB Merito Universities in Poznań, Gdańsk, Toruń, and Wrocław (with branches in seven other cities), along with DSW University of Lower Silesia in Wrocław and Civitas University in Warsaw.
