WSB Merito University in Poznań offers its students the opportunity to study at one of the universities in Western Australia as part of the Study in Australia program. Several universities are available, however, WSB Merito University recommends Edith Cowan University in Perth.

Plan Your International Career

Students may apply to study at universities in Western Australia. The choice of university is made in cooperation with the representative of the Study in Australia program, who maintains constant contact with Australian universities. WSB Merito recommends Edith Cowan University in Perth.
The duration of the stay is one semester. Students may choose to go abroad in the winter or summer semester. It is not possible to participate for two semesters or to extend the exchange.

The offer is open to all students of WSB Merito University in Poznań (full-time or part-time), provided that their field of study corresponds to a program offered at the host university.

Candidates wishing to participate in the program must:

  • be at least 18 years old and have completed at least the first year of studies at the time of departure
  • have successfully completed the most recent semester of study
  • have no outstanding financial obligations to the university
  • demonstrate English language proficiency at level B2, confirmed by an appropriate certificate or verified through a language test taken at WSB Merito University in Poznań

When planning the trip, please pay attention to the following:

  • The field of study at the host university should correspond to the one studied at WSB Merito
  • Letter of Acceptance – the final confirmation of the student’s admission by the host university
  • Other required documents:
    • Transcript of Records
    • Application for Individual Study Track and tuition fee exemption
    • Learning Agreement approved by the Vice-Dean
  • Health insurance (covering medical treatment, accident, and liability insurance)
  • Submission of a Certificate of Attendance and Transcript of Records after completing the exchange
  • For assistance with accommodation, visa, and other formal matters, students can contact Ms. Adrianna Maksym ([email protected]) from the Study in Australia program
  • Students cover the costs of travel, flights, living expenses, and tuition fees at the host university
  • During the exchange period, students are exempt from paying tuition fees at WSB Merito
  • Contact the International Relations Office in person or by email (room 306CP, [email protected])
  • Participate in the qualification process

Selection criteria:

  • Grade point average from the last completed semester at WSB Merito University
  • Result of the English language test (average of written and oral parts)
  • Qualification interview

DETAILED QUALIFICATION PROCEDURE

Step 1

Complete the application form at the International Relations Office (IRO)

Step 2

Take the English language proficiency test

Step 3

Attend a qualification interview conducted by IRO representatives.

The purpose of the interview is to assess the student’s motivation for studying in Australia.

Step 4

The IRO informs the student about the qualification results

Step 5

The student completes and/or submits documents required by the host university

  1. Application form in English
  2. Learning Agreement with a list of completed subjects at WSB Merito and corresponding ECTS credits
  3. Certificate of English proficiency (at least B2 level according to the CEFR). The IRO will issue a document based on test results or submitted certificates/diplomas. Recognized certificates include FCE, CAE, BEC Vantage, BEC Higher, TOEFL, IELTS, as well as diplomas or confirmations of studies conducted in English.
Step 6

Obtaining confirmation

The student must obtain confirmation from the Registrar’s Office of successful completion of their current study program.

Step 7

Submitting the application form

The student submits the application form and all required documents to the host university directly or via the Study in Australia office.

Step 8

Reviewing the documents

The host university reviews the documents and decides on the student’s admission, notifying both the IRO and the student.

Step 9

Learning Agreement

The student submits to the IRO and the appropriate Vice-Dean the Learning Agreement listing the courses to be studied at the host institution. A template and instructions for completing the Learning Agreement are attached at the end of this document.

Step 10

Approvement

The Vice-Dean decides whether to approve the proposed study program at the partner university.

Step 11

Individual Study Track (ITS) Application

The student submits an application for an Individual Study Track (ITS) and a tuition fee exemption to the Registrar’s Office. The application form is available at the IRO. The tuition fee exemption request will be processed only after the student submits a completed Learning Agreement.

Transcript of Records

The student submits to the Registrar’s Office an application for the recognition of the exchange period, along with the Transcript of Records from the host university.

Recognition of the mobility period

Based on the submitted documentation, the Vice-Dean decides on the recognition of the mobility period. If some courses are not recognized, the Vice-Dean will assign equivalent courses to be completed at WSB Merito University.
