Adam L. Nurek, a second-year marketing and sales student at WSB Merito University in Poznań, created a moving documentary film in Madagascar. On May 15, a special screening of the film "Really Far" took place at Helios cinema, featuring the filmmakers and the film's protagonist—Leolid, who flew to Poland especially from Madagascar.

"Really Far – Leolid's Journey to a Better Life" is a touching 46-minute documentary produced by the Polish Foundation for Africa that takes viewers to Madagascar and depicts the daily life in one of the poorest countries in the world. The film tells the story of Leolid, who, at the age of 15, after a fire destroyed his family’s village, walked barefoot for several dozen kilometers to attend a school run by a Polish missionary. Thanks to his determination and the Foundation's help, he now works as a laboratory technician at a hospital in Mampikony.

The film's cinematographer, editor, and executive producer is our student - Adam L. Nurek. He completed this project during his studies, benefiting from the University's flexible approach to nurturing passions and social initiatives.

The screening is part of a nationwide tour aimed at raising funds to complete the construction of a Madagascar hospital and purchase medical equipment.
