From now on it will always be on your phone. However, if you prefer a traditional plastic student ID, the Dean’s Office can prepare one for you. To do this, send an e-mail to: [email protected], providing your first name, surname and student number. Student IDs ordered earlier can be collected from the Dean’s Office during its opening hours.

Renewing student IDs for 2nd- and 3rd-year students and Master’s students:

  • to renew a plastic student ID, please visit the Dean’s Office during its opening hours.

mLegitymacja – Electronic Student ID:

  • The electronic version of the student ID can be obtained in the mObywatel app.

Information for international students

Health insurance is compulsory throughout your stay in Poland and is required for:

  • Entering the country.
  • Applying for a temporary residence permit.

If you are not an EU/EFTA citizen:

You must arrange your own insurance with the National Health Fund (NFZ) or another provider. To do this:

  • Collect a certificate confirming your student status from the Dean’s Office.
  • Submit an application at the NFZ Insured Services Centre:

Address: Stanisława Kossutha 13, 40-844 Katowice

Tel.: 800 190 590

Note

Not having valid insurance may result in your residence permit being withdrawn and you being required to leave Poland.

Insurance from providers other than the NFZ must include hospitalisation. In such cases, you cover the treatment costs and the insurer reimburses your expenses (with NFZ insurance, settlements are cashless).

Remember

Make sure your insurance remains valid to avoid problems with your legal stay in Poland.

You can obtain a certificate from the Student Office no earlier than after classes have started, within 3 working days of submitting your request (a template is available in the Extranet).

You can collect it in person at the Student's Office or download an e-certificate from the Extranet (from the My profileE-certificates tab).

First payment

Each student has an individual bank account number for tuition fee payments. You will find the details and deadlines of your payments in the Extranet under: My profile → Payments and deposits.

  • If you start your studies in October, you must pay the first instalment and the student ID fee by 30 September.
  • If you start your studies in March, you must pay the first instalment and the student ID fee by 30 March.

*This deadline changes only for students admitted after 15 September/March.

Make two transfers: the tuition fee to the “tuition” account, and PLN 22 for the student ID (if you have applied for a plastic ID) to the “other” account.

VAT invoice

Invoice request forms are available on our website and in the Extranet. You can also request a template by contacting the Student’s Office or the Admissions Office.

We would like to inform you that as of 27 April 2026, the full functionality of the MOS ICT system (Case Handling Module) will be launched, enabling the submission of residence permit applications in Poland exclusively in electronic form.
