Course objective
The preparatory course for undertaking university studies has been designed for individuals planning to begin their studies in Poland. Its objective is to reach language level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), as well as to prepare participants for academic life and introduce basic topics in business and management.
The course is held at WSB Merito University in Poznań.

Price: 10,100 PLN per year + registration fee 450 PLN
Payment can be made in one of the following forms:
- Single payment:
The total amount (10,100 PLN) must be paid within 7 days of receiving confirmation from the University of acceptance into the course.
- Payment in two installments:
1st installment 5,050 PLN – payable within 7 days of receiving confirmation from the University of acceptance into the course,
2nd installment 5,050 PLN – payable by February 28, 2026.

Polish language modules (600h / 50 ECTS)
Module 1 – Basics of Academic Language (100h / 10 ECTS)
- Revision and consolidation of grammatical structures (A1–A2),
- Revision and consolidation of grammatical structures (B1),
- Development of general vocabulary and basic academic concepts,
- Exercises in reading and listening comprehension,
- Initial practice in writing short texts,
- Introduction to structured speaking: short presentations and discussions,
- Culture and everyday life in Poland,
- Module completion: verification test.
Module 2 – Intermediate Communication (200h / 20 ECTS)
- Expansion of general and specialized vocabulary,
- Work with authentic materials: press, online, and literary texts,
- Grammar, phonetic, and spelling exercises (B1–B2),
- Speaking training: discussions, debates, problem-solving,
- Systematic work on accuracy and fluency,
- Module completion: verification test.
Module 3 – Advanced Skills (150h / 16 ECTS)
- Analysis of academic and popular science texts,
- Comprehension of lectures and audio materials at an advanced level,
- Conducting individual and group presentations,
- Writing formal and semi-formal texts in academic style,
- Developing linguistic precision and improving writing skills at the B1–B2 level,
- Module completion: verification test.
Module 4 – Exam Preparation and Academic Integration (150h / 14 ECTS)
- Intensive training in all language skills (B2),
- Exercises in precision of oral communication,
- Orientation workshops: student life in Poland, practical aspects of studying and everyday communication,
- Mock tests and internal exams to monitor progress,
- Final exam
Additional component – Business and Management area (120h / 10 ECTS)
In parallel with language classes, participants take an additional block covering the basics of business and management.
Thanks to this, they learn:
- basic concepts in the field of management and economics,
- elements of entrepreneurship and business communication,
- an introduction to marketing and project work,
- practical aspects of studying in Poland – adaptation and integration workshops.
A specially prepared program facilitates the mastery of specialist vocabulary and provides better preparation for starting studies in Poland. These classes cover the fundamentals of management and economics, elements of entrepreneurship and business communication, as well as an introduction to marketing and adaptation workshops. Thus, the course has a clear business and management profile and allows participants to gain not only language skills but also substantive foundations necessary to begin studies in business and management disciplines:
