The list of documents for candidates for first-cycle studies and Master’s programs applicable in the summer recruitment for the academic year 2025/2026:

 All the necessary documents will be generated in your Candidate Account after you complete the online registration and confirm your application. Nothing will be sent by post.

1. Personal details form – generated automatically. Please review the information carefully and ensure all data is correct.
2. Study agreement  – read the agreement carefully and sign it electronically in the designated fields.
3. Study and payment regulations – details of study/payment terms and conditions.
4. Withdrawal form from the agreement  – if you decide to drop out after the agreement singing, before study begin.
5. Acceptance document – after you have been accepted, you can download the soft copies (Attestation for Foreigner).

1. Confirmation of language proficiency  - An international language certificate at least B2 level or write us and we will arrange the interview. 

2. Legalized or Apostilled certificate of education 

• For Bachelor’s: Upload your high school certificate or equivalent, legalized or with an Apostille, and a transcript. 

• For Master’s: Upload your Bachelor’s diploma or equivalent, also legalized or with an Apostille, along with a transcript. 

3. Polish translation of your educational documents - Both your diploma/certificate and transcript with apostille/legalization must be translated into Polish by a sworn translator, from the Ministry approved list.
4. Photocopy of your passport (bio page for verification) - In case of dual citizenship and two passports, please select and use only one – after completion of the admission process the photocopy will be deleted from our database.

5. 1 full-color photograph - The photo must meet passport standards (front-facing, size 34-45 mm, white background). 
6. Candidates may be required to take an online test to assess their academic knowledge in the chosen field of study.
7. Written confirmation from NAWA (only if required)

   For selected applicants with foreign certificates or diplomas (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree).

A. Apostille or legalization?

An Apostille or legalization is an official certification that verifies the authenticity of a document, making it valid for use in another country.

The legal basis for the Apostille is the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961, which simplifies the process of legalizing documents for international use. An Apostille serves as sufficient proof of a document’s authenticity, so no further verification is needed.

Legalization is a more complex process used for countries that are not part of the Apostille system, involving verification through embassies or consulates. Always check with the relevant Polish embassy or consulate for the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding document legalization requirements:

Instructions for Legalization

1. Certification by a Competent Authority:
   • Research how to legalize your documents through the relevant government authority, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or similar institution in your country.
2. Legalization by the Embassy/Consulate:
   • Take your certified original document to the embassy or consulate of the country where you will use the document. They will legalize it, which may involve additional verification and processing fees.

Make sure to check the specific requirements for the embassy or consulate before your visit.

B. Recognition of your education documents:  

Note: Important Information for Bachelor’s Degree Candidates (First-Cycle Studies)

In accordance with the new visa application requirements introduced by Polish consulates worldwide, candidates applying for a student visa must now submit a document confirming their eligibility to pursue a bachelor’s degree (first-cycle studies). This document must be issued by the Polish Education Superintendent Office (Kuratorium Oświaty).

⚠️ The certificate is from schools in the education systems of the following countries, which are members of the EU, OECD, or EFTA, and with which Poland maintains agreements for the mutual recognition of qualifications for access to higher education:

• Australia, Austria, Brasile, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea (South), Latvia, Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States,

• The certificates are:
  • IB diplomas (International Baccalaureate) issued by the International Baccalaureate Organization in Geneva are also recognized without further formalities.
  • EB diplomas (European Baccalaureate) issued by European Schools under the Luxembourg Convention of 21 June 1994 are recognized.
  • Cambridge International Certificates (with at least 3 A levels).
  • General Certificate of Education (GCE) (with at least 3 A levels).
  • BTEC Level 3 National Diploma or BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma. 

Note:

If you studied at a school that follows the education system of one of the countries listed above, you do not need to go through the recognition process. However, the school must provide a letter confirming the legal framework under which it operates (e.g., an American school in Saudi Arabia).

⚠️ If your documents are not from one of the countries on the list, you’ll need to go through the recognition process. This means applying to have your qualifications officially recognized by Superintendent in Poland. More information can be provided by Admission Team.

Previously, this document could be submitted after arrival in Poland. However, under the new regulations, it must now be included in the visa application.

Please note that the procedure for master’s degree candidates remains unchanged.
