The Activities of the Research and Commercialization Center (CBiK) in Research Projects:
The primary tasks of the Research and Commercialization Center in the field of grants include managing the entire process related to preparing applications, drafting and signing contracts, project implementation, and completion, including:
- Initiating activities and encouraging applications for research projects,
- Providing informational, advisory, and organizational support to ensure compliance with competition rules,
- Assisting the Project Manager in completing forms, preparing attachments, and drafting budgets,
- Reviewing applications for formal and financial accuracy,
- Assisting in preparing partnership/consortium agreements when a research project is conducted in collaboration with an external institution,
- Handling correspondence with the funding institution, supplementing formal deficiencies upon request, and providing necessary explanations,
- Verifying project financing agreements,
- Monitoring the acquisition of required signatures from representatives of the University/Federation,
- Consulting with the Project Manager and the funding institution on project implementation,
- Providing formal support for employing individuals involved in the research project,
- Providing formal support for purchasing and financial settlement,
- Monitoring the timely submission of research project reports, periodic and final reports,
- Assisting in the preparation of the formal and financial sections of reports,
- Registering civil-law contracts concluded within supported research projects,
- Consulting on project modifications,
- Transferring project documentation collected by the Research and Commercialization Center to the archive,
- Assisting in archiving project documentation held by the Project Manager,
- Collaborating with Project Offices/Departments at universities,
- Preparing activity reports and presenting them to the President of the Federation,
- Reviewing grant applications.
The Activities of the Research and Commercialization Center (CBiK) in Commercialization and External Collaboration:
- Initiating and strengthening collaboration between the scientific community and the economic environment, including identifying entities interested in implementing research and development results through the promotion of technology offerings and participation in "science to business" exhibitions and fairs,
- Establishing contacts to initiate cooperation between the WSB-DSW Merito Scientific Federation, universities, and the economic environment,
- Preparing commercialization projects for research and development results, particularly including market potential analyses of inventions and implementation readiness assessments,
- Managing a portfolio of technologies,
- Identifying commercially viable solutions generated within projects with supra-regional significance,
- Providing advisory support for research commercialization initiatives also processed at the university level,
- Publishing the Federation's technology offerings (so-called technology teasers) from all universities on its website,
- Supporting the conclusion of agreements for the sale of results or licensing agreements,
- Assisting in the establishment of spin-off companies,
- Supporting the search for commercial partners for projects or implementations,
- Preparing activity reports and presenting them to the President of the Federation,
- Preparing, reviewing, and recommending the selection of a commercialization offer and its subsequent implementation,
- Initiating research and development projects with commercialization and implementation potential,
- Identifying market needs,
- Seeking cooperation partners.
