As of September 1, 2025, the position of Rector of WSB Merito University in Wrocław has been assumed by Assoc. Prof. Johannes Platje, PhD, WSB Merito University Professor.
The Professor specializes in transport economics, sustainable development, and systemic risk. He has been affiliated with WSB Merito University in Wrocław since 2012, and in 2024–2025 he served as Vice-Rector. At the University, he co-leads the Research Team Sustainable Business and System Risk, and is Editor-in-Chief of the scientific journal Central European Review of Economics and Management. He coordinates the discipline of economics and finance within the Research Federation of WSB-DSW Merito Universities, where he also established the Research Centre for System Risk Management.
We wish that this new role brings him much satisfaction and success, and that his initiatives will contribute to the development of WSB Merito University in Wrocław and to the academic community of our institution!
